Your Role

As a Quantity Surveyor at our firm, you will play a crucial role in the planning and execution of projects. Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing detailed cost estimates and budgets for various projects.
• Managing procurement processes and assessing subcontractor tenders.
• Working closely with project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure projects are completed within budget and on schedule.
• Conducting regular site visits to monitor project progress and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
• Preparing interim payment applications and final accounts.
• Providing advice on contractual claims and amendments.
• Conducting value engineering exercises to optimize project costs.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for our Topjobs Quantity Surveyor position will possess the following qualifications:

• A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of contractual and construction law.
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
• Proficiency in cost management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
• Membership in a relevant professional body (RICS or equivalent) is advantageous.
