Position Summary

The Clerk Typist will play a vital role in our operations, handling a variety of administrative tasks that are essential to the functionality of our office. The ideal candidate will have strong typing skills, a keen eye for detail, and an efficiency-driven mindset.

Key Responsibilities

  • Type and format documents, reports, and correspondence.
  • Maintain accurate records and files in both physical and digital formats.
  • Perform data entry and ensure data integrity across systems.
  • Assist in the preparation of presentations and materials for meetings.
  • Manage incoming communications, including emails and phone calls.
  • Provide general office support, including but not limited to photocopying, faxing, and mailing.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in office administration or typing skills are a plus.
  • Proven experience as a clerk typist or similar role.
  • Typing speed of at least 60 words per minute with a high accuracy rate.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant software.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
